Hi, for the past week and half I have been quite busy following the wedding of two of my cousins coupled with endless work which didn't allow me to update the blog. But be rest assured that from now on, I will be regularly updating my blog. I have a few fantastic ideas for blog posts which I will share with you shortly.I just want it to lay out perfectly. And the surprise which I was talking about earlier it's this :)
Noah is yet another apocalypse themed movie releasing in the first quarter of 2014. Based on the Biblical account of Noah and his Ark, the movie stars Russel Crowe as Noah, Jennifer Connelly as his wife Naameh, Anthony Hopkins as Noah father Methuselah. The film also stars Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Sami Gayle and Doughlas Booth. The trailer starts with Noah dreaming of apocalyptic earth. He tells his wife that the world is gonna end and that he needs to build a vessel to protect the innocent as instructed by God. The acting by the cast looks pretty good. The special effects depicting the flooding and the migration of animals, birds, snakes and everything is pretty good. The voice of Russel Crowe in the trailer for some reason greatly reminded me of the tone he used for Joe-El in the movie Man of Steel.
With a great set of actors and good special effects lets hope the movie lives up or say succeeds to biblical proportions.
The official YouTube channel of Fast and Furious had uploaded a tribute video for Paul Walker on December 4. In a matter of days it has garnered more than 390k likes and numerous shares on various social networking sites. The production house of F&F,Universal Pictures released this video along with the following statement "A Tribute to Paul Walker. Paul Walker's family appreciates the outpouring of love and goodwill from his many fans and friends. They have asked, in lieu of flowers or other gifts, that donations please be made to Paul's charity Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW). Donations can easily be made through their website athttp://www.ROWW.org/". Universal Pictures has also said that a portion of the proceeds from the DVD release of Fast & Furious 6 will be donated to Paul's charity Reach Out Worldwide(ROWW). In one of the scenes from the video Vin Diesel delivers an emotional line, “The most important thing in life will always be the people in this room.” R.I.P Paul Walker
The official trailer for the second installation of the Amazing Spider-Man series was launched by Sony Pictures yesterday. I am simply blown away by the visually pleasing and amazing effects employed in making the movie.From the looks of the trailer, i think this time around Spidy has his hands full. Paul Walker a.k.a Brian O'Conner(his character name from the Fast and Furious franchise) died on November 30, 2013 due to a tragic car accident. Paul Walker and Vin Diesel are the soul of the franchise according to me. F&F will not be same again.My heart goes out to his family and friends. Being an avid comic book fan, Arrow has emerged as one of my favorite action/ sci-fi shows of all time. After the success of Smallville, WB has yet another winner. Based on the DC comic book character Green Arrow, the series unravels the life of billionaire playboy Oliver Queen when he returns to Starling City after being marooned on an Island for five years. The show depicts both his present and his time on the island. His return marks the arrival of a hooded vigilante in Starling who has taken up the mantle of fighting crime and ending corruption in the city using his trusty bow and arrow.
